Summary

I’m Millie Wilkins, an interior designer and visual artist with a passion for creating spaces that inspire, nurture, and connect people with their environment. Having graduated from the University of South Wales, my work is rooted in sustainability, biophilic design, and the belief that thoughtful interiors can profoundly impact well-being.

My design philosophy is influenced by Frank Lloyd Wright’s principles of organic architecture, which I explored in depth through my dissertation research. I strive to integrate natural elements and purposeful design to achieve environments that are both functional and restorative.

I have gained hands-on experience through placements with A’Bear & Ball and Benchmark Designs Ltd, where I developed my skills in presenting concepts, working on site, and communicating design ideas effectively. I’ve also explored innovative design solutions through projects such as a bespoke floating pod house and, most recently, my major project with Historic England, revitalising the Engine House to balance heritage conservation with community well-being.

I am proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite Microsoft Office software, and Chaos Enscape.

Alongside my portfolio, I am developing Room for More, a creative venture focused on designing interiors and installations that prioritise sustainability, heritage, accessibility and experience.
